TASK DESCRIPTION
The Media Analyst is expected to deliver a mapping of off-line, online and social media accounts susceptible to target the EU and Member states and carry out FIMI attacks in Mozambique.
This mapping aims to be best prepared for possible FIMI in a crisis context.
The mapping shall be the result of observing, assessing and researching the local information environments (on- and offline), by placing a lens on elements/indicators of foreign (and when relevant domestic) malign manipulation of the information environment, and the local vulnerabilities, actors, drivers and resistors.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good experience working in/on the media sector
- Good experience in/on Mozambique, notably on the information environment and Disinformation / FIMI
- Strong analytical and collection skills (notably Public Available Information, including OSINT analysis)
- Solid understanding of national and/or regional politics
- Excellent level of English and Portuguese, local language skills would be an asset
- Strong English drafting skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information
